The Quincy Sister City Commission hosts the annual Germanfest in Quincy’s South Park Friday, June 2nd from 6-10p and Saturday, June 3rd from 3-10:30p.
The traditional Germanfest Saturday afternoon will include a “Kinderplatz”, activities for children, followed by the Heidelberg German Band.
Both days will feature traditional German food accompanied by local favorites. Craft beers including at least one brewed especially for the event and a variety of other beers will be available.
Quincy Preserves Tour
"Behind the Garden Gate"

Quincy is well known for majestic historic homes, which are enhanced and framed by beautiful gardens.
Quincy Preserves will be show casing 8 of these gardens on Saturday, June 3 from 8:30a - 12:30p.
The tour offers many types of gardens: formal, architectural, whimsical and container gardening. The 2017 tour is being held in conjunction with the Q-Fest celebration – a family fun filled weekend for sure!

Summer Reading Kickoff!
Saturday, June 3 from 9a-12p
Children and their families will be able to enjoy making straw rockets and a food craft, playing with the water wall and yard games!
There will be temporary tattoos, music, and of course, picking up a reading log for each member of the family to get started on a summer of reading and earning prizes!
At noon, Leo the Library Lion will lead readers to Washington Park to enjoy the Q-Fest activities.
